Looks like I didn't have the proper library loaded on the server. It should have been packaged up with everything else. I have been bitten by that before, so the problem was easy to spot. But how to remember not to do it in the first place?

I am using some XML-RPC to notify a few ping servers when I have updated this website.There is quite a bit of info and code on the net that describes this process. Code also seems to be available for most programming languages.

| Sunshine! |
A man is playing with his dogs in the park. I can see them running from my window. I have to squint just a bit, as the light is very bright. It has been a while since I have seen such a light.
Can the sun have been gone that long? It seems so. But the sun has now returned. And with it, the hope of spring. The change of seasons cannot be too far off. Soon the early spring flowers will start to poke their new shoots from the ground. Ground in which they have laid dormant through the winter months.
Soon the birds will return, trumpeting the arrival of spring with their voices. It will be nice to open up the windows and breath the fresh air. It won't be long now.

| Curling up with a good book | |
Where I live, the month of February can be a dreary time of year. The average temperature seems to hover somewhere between cold and really cold. A sort of cabin fever can set in. A cure can be found in a good book. A virtual change in location can relieve the symptoms of cabin fever. And make the month of February pass by as quickly as possible. March just has to be better.
